June News

Well we’re rolling at the top of Forest Park Ave and although May was an EXTREMELY dry month, some recent cooperation from Mother Nature in the form of rain has the finest course in Adams shaping up quite nicely. June Blake and her team have been working hard repairing some winter kill areas on top of the day to day grounds keeping duties and the efforts are much appreciated. If you’re a regular player you can attest to this and if you haven’t been playing much, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!

Tournaments, Tournaments, Tournaments……

The tournament season is well underway so check our website and bulletin boards in the clubhouse for updates and upcoming events. Whether it’s a Friday night “Club & Grub” or one of the many captain & crew events we host, you’ll be sure to have a blast. Also, if you’re thinking about hosting your own event, contact “B” Cardin at 743-3311 for details and available dates.

Speaking of tournaments, whether you’re playing in one of our local events or competing at another club, it’s very important to keep your GHIN card accurate and up to date. Your GHIN card is an average of the player’s potential ability and keeping it current not only allows you to see your progress, but also fosters accurate scoring and fair play in competition. Should you have any questions on scoring and handicaps, our handicap committee comprised of Leo Romanos, Mike Geary, Lou Moser, & Jim Geary would be more than happy to assist you.

Another exciting addition to the course this year are our solar powered cart signs. These signs are positioned around the golf course to provide golfers guidance into the navigation and positioning of carts. These environmentally friendly, “green” signs are not only great in early morning or dusk conditions but are also easy to see throughout the day, rain or shine.

Well that’s all for now boys and girls. Hit ‘em straight and we’ll see you out there!!
