Well, “Old Man Winter” doesn’t appear to be quite ready to go on hiatus with this latest batch of “poor man’s fertilizer”. The course wintered well with minimal wind/tree damage so rest assured, we’ll be strolling down the fairways soon. We have a couple of scheduled events in the banquet hall in March and the club house opens shortly before the course (to insure that barstool heights and beverage cooler temperatures are accurate) so check in via social media and the web site for updates.
Events and Functions
Speaking of our club house, remember to consider us when booking your next event. We have a beautiful banquet facility to host functions both large and small ranging from parties, showers, receptions, etc. throughout the season. We can even help with coordinating catering and entertainment options as well. Be sure to contact us early as available dates often fill quickly.
Forest Park is a great place to host a tournament. We currently have numerous charity and fundraising events returning to the course annually and are open to other weekday or weekend outings. If you’re considering coordinating a tournament or outing, contact us, you’ll have a great time at our course.
Weekly Golf Leagues
We currently have four leagues (three during the week and one on Sunday morning) during the season and all of them are a blast! Whether you want to be a full time participant or the occasional substitute, keep an eye on the bulletin boards in the club house for sign up information.
Well that’s about all for now boys and girls. I suggest that you start putting on the living room carpet with the PGA tournament on the TV and a cold beverage on the coffee table. Once the beverage is empty, immediately replace it with a full one. At Forest Park, we put a strong emphasis on staying hydrated!
Scraping the windshield, getting gas for the snowblower, school canellations……..IT’S ALL BEHIND US!!
That’s right ladies and gentlemen, it is once again time to take that fabled drive up Forest Park Avenue as today, Forest Park Country Club is open for the season! So stick that snow shovel in the corner of the garage and grab your clubs. Throw the winter boots in the basement and put on your golf shoes!
It’s going to be another great year at “The finest golf course in Adams” so we hope to see you there!
The FPCC tournament schedule has been updated for the upcoming 2017 season. Make sure to pencil them into your calendar. Complete Berkshire Allied tournament schedules to come.
Our clubhouse will be open tomorrow (3/24) at 1 p.m for a “soft opening”. It will be a great chance to meet our new general manager, John Bradbury while verifying that stool heights and cooler temperatures are accurate. Our hours will be Thursday-Sunday until the golf course opens 1pm-close.
Hope to see you there!
